Asha for education (AfE) is a non-profit, volunteer driven, organization dedicated to basic education for underprivileged children in India. We believe that education is a primary factor in shaping a child’s future. AfE works towards promoting the education of underprivileged children in India by providing financial assistance and support to the NGOs focused on education projects.
The Yale chapter of Asha is comprised of dedicated individuals from the University and the community. The Yale chapter is also an active student group at Yale University. Volunteers of the Yale chapter work closely with project partners in India, while locally organizing fundraisers and awareness events. Our fundraisers directly help support education projects in India. Past events have included charity walk/run events, dinners, silent auctions and talent shows.
